Sometimes, getting a larger bathroom is possible when you can borrow space from an adjacent room or have a big budget to accommodate the work. But this is not always possible or maybe something you do not want to do. If you want to make your bathroom look and feel bigger, you must speak with renovation experts at ArmoiresEnGros.com. Also, there are other steps you can take to make this happen. These steps include the following: installing custom frameless glass shower doors to create an unobstructed line of sight and a more open atmosphere.

    Having a Smaller Vanity

If your small bathroom has a big vanity, the space may be looking and feeling cramped. Getting rid of the big vanity and replacing it with a small one will open the space and provide the look of a bigger bathroom. But keep in mind that this also means losing some storage. What you can do is replace the lost storage with open shelves or use a linen closet for storing supplies.

    Get Rid of Clutter

The more items you place in the bathroom the smaller the room will feel. So, if you want it to look and feel bigger, keep it clutter-free. Ensure you do not store too many towels or wall art. Consider having just one artwork on the walls. Whatever items you do not need on the counter must be moved into a vanity, linen closet, or medicine cabinet. This will open up the space and make the room look cleaner.

    Investing in Extra Lighting

To make the bathroom look bigger, add more lights. You can do this by investing in recessed lighting because it does not take up extra space. Also, you can install wall sconces to increase light in the bathroom or increase the windows’ size.

    Choosing the Right Tiles

When you choose tiles for a small bathroom, choose medium-sized tiles. Smaller tiles will result in plenty of grout lines, which will chop up the bathroom. But you should not also opt for very big tiles because they can make the bathroom look smaller.

Moreover, your chosen tiles’ colour does matter. To make the space look bigger, blend the tile colour with the wall colours. Ensure the tub or shower is tiled all the way up to the ceiling to create a more expansive appearance and feel by offering fewer contrasts and breaking in the flaw.

    Removing Visual Distraction

You can create the illusion of a larger bathroom when the eyes flow from the front to the back of the room. Thus, there should be no visual obstructions to prevent this. For instance, while frosted glass shower doors are aesthetically pleasing, they stop the eye and divide the room.
